Well, the deadline for submitting applications for the Mehadi Foundation Scholarship has passed and we have been overwhelmed by the response. Now begins the extremely difficult task of going through all the submissions and making the tough decision on who should receive the scholarships. We will begin the deliberation process immediately and announce the recipients on August 1.

The Mehadi Foundation Scholarship will provide college tuition to a few veterans of the Iraq or Afghanistan conflict who have struggled with drug or alcohol addiction, but are now at least six months sober.  (1) $1000 award and (2) $250 awards will be given for the Fall 2008 semester/quarter.
